About Us
A client commented today, "You really enjoy your job, don't you!"
Oh, yeah!
Everyday I get paid to draw stuff and create things for people, and that's what I've always loved to do-- ever since I was three years old. It's fun, and you need to have fun on your job. One of the things that motivates me is creating websites that make my clients enjoy their job a little more, too. They have to stare at that site every day, after all!
As I write this, we're putting the final touches on OUR newest site design (This is version three, I think). It reflects how our company has grown over the years. When I think about what's led us to this point, it's amazing.
I started out working as a one-man design shop based in a junky rental house back room. I knew I wanted to design Yahoo! stores, but I had to figure out a way to carve out a niche in the marketplace. I looked around at a lot of the site designs at the time and kept seeing the same old, repetitive, boring designs. I was looking at people selling fun stuff and thinking, "Why doesn't the DESIGN look fun?"
So, I just started designing fun stuff by doing what I love-- drawing! Luckily, there were a lot of customers that agreed with my vision. Business kept getting better and better.
Of course, not every website NEEDS illustration, and there was a big demand for us to offer professional, clean graphic design. Now, I love to design as much as I love to draw, but I realized I couldn't do all this by myself!
Luckily, that was around the time I married a very smart woman: the lovely Gina Yonge. She's not just smart because she married me; she has years of experience running successful businesses. While it was a little daunting for me to take the necessary steps to take us to the next level, Gina pushed us on through as our office manager. She really helped get us to where we're at today: hiring good employees, expanding our offices, etc. Now we're managing a full staff in an incredibly nice downtown office suite (Anytime you're in northeast Mississippi, come on by!)
So now "EYStudios" is really two studios in one: the Graphic Design Studio and the Illustration Studio. No matter what look-and-feel you need, we can get it done.
To me, this whole thing is about having fun and helping people out. I want to establish good personal relationships with my clients. It's so rewarding to have a client come back year after year because they're getting results: Their store sales are strong because their customers just plain love to shop there.
Every year, EYStudios has done at least twice as much business as the year before. We take care of our clients with honest, Christian business ethics, and our clients take care of us. We never want to grow so big that I can't personally oversee each and every website that goes out the door. If it's got MY name on it, it better reflect excellence.
When you call EYStudios to talk about a store, you'll ultimately talk to me. I promise I'll never pawn you off on an employee that will try and sell you a one-size-fits-all design. I want to pitch you my vision for your store, then ask you to trust us in seeing it to completion. We know what we're doing, and have the success stories to prove it.
We design a lot of stores, but never lose sight of the customer. If you ever need help or just some advice, we're here for you. You can count on us giving you our best.
Now, I've told you about me and my company, but I really want to know more about you! Touch base with us and let us know what we can create for you!
Look forward to hearing from you!
-Eric Yonge
